BENEATH THE HUNTER VALLEY

This year we've put more kilometres on our car, than any other year. The nature of where we live, is that its generally easier to get in the car and drive a few hours, than fly to the closest city, and then hop on another plane to our destination. While some might see that as a challenge or a burden, we've delighted in seeing parts of this country that we never imagined or considered that we would.

We make playlists for the road, and joke about the strange ideas we dream up, while the earth around us seems an endless array of trees and mountains. I ask Dave to pull over every so often so we can capture the scenery or afternoon light. We share our visions with the highway, as a day's journey reminds us that we've got so much of life ahead of us, and we laugh knowing this is just the beginning. Great days are in store.
