I ushered in the start of Summer early on Saturday morning, as I picked up my friend Hayley, and we headed south to Forbes. Our handmade goods in tow, we set up a market stall in the local warehouse, converted cafe Mezzanine (the one Dave and I spent our Sundays in, during winter, drinking hot chocolates and reading for hours).
Not being regular market goers (infact this was the first time for us both), we made a last minute trip to a shop for change and a tablecloth, before 8:30am hit and the doors were open.
Hayley sold her gorgeous Kanzachi hairclips and spoons of the best Hot Chocolate you'll ever taste! While I peddled my cordial, jams, chutneys and relish made from local and in-season fruits, and a few cushions too.
We're super grateful to our family and friends who stopped buy the stall, and did a little business. Hayley was the best company, as we chatted through more creative ideas and dreamed up possibilities for the next markets. I couldn't do it every weekend, but I'm sure there'll be a next time.
Definitely a next time! You were great company too!!! Haylz
