Every town has 'that street' where everyone is crazy over Christmas lights. When we moved into our neighbourhood at the start of the year, each new friend who visited our house, already knew our street well from their Christmas season visits.
As the end of November passed by it began. Family members worked together on their roofs and lawns hanging lights, arranging decorations and timing their moving ornaments - our neighbours take Christmas lights seriously.
Threats of local newspaper reports, caused us to cave (who knows why we didn't hop on the bandwagon earlier), and we hung up a few lights ourselves.
Each night we have been delighted to take walks through our street admiring the lights, bright colours and the joy that fills the air.
