21/52 : ALEX

This week it seemed very timely to share with you all some pictures and a story about one of my dearest friends from high school. This is Addie.

We just spent a weekend up in sunny Queensland for the occasion of this dear lady getting hitched. (More photos of that great event still to come.) A couple of days with some of our closest friends, all in the name of true love is an opportunity we were sure not to miss, so after work on Friday we piled into the car and hit the road.

Somewhere in the whirlwind of starting high school I met Addie (her real name is Alexandra, but Addie came about when her older siblings faced the challenge of saying her name, 'Addie-andra').
We both chose to study German, so found ourselves in the same form class. But it wasn't until the following year till we found ourselves in the same friendship group, on the same train to school, and at each others' houses for days on end during the school holidays. Being two teenagers given to small acts of craziness for a good laugh, we were always sure to find ourselves a new episode for jest.

On Saturday, this dear friend looked the most breath-taking I'd ever seen as she walked down the aisle towards the man whom she loves the most. It 's been a pleasure and delight to see these two fall for each other, and then witness their commitment to love.

Thanks for letting us share in your special day. We hope that all your days are filled with love, deeper than you've felt before, and the honest excitement of having someone else to share all your days with!
