Christmas preparations started early in our house as we decided to put up our tree one month before Christmas Day. The opportunity to have lights twinkling in our living room, for as long as possible was a delight we weren't going to knock back.
Last year we found a nice potted pine tree, however as it didn't survive us moving house we were faced with the choice of buying a fake on, or cutting one off the side of the road.
I'm a little sad to say, our house is not filled with that natural pine smell this Christmas. But with Christmas Carols playing, imagined this was a real Oregon Pine, and let the spirit of the season fill our house with warmth and joy.
